Because of you, at least 1,250 children started the first day of school with a better prepared than they would have otherwise.
We served at least 500 families and 1,250 children (that’s how many backpacks were given)
Almost every book was given by the Book Nook.
The ladies that cut hair – cut until their hands ache.
Over 150 family portraits were taken.
Nearly 4,000 breakfast burritos were served.
Countless smiles were shared.
A special thanks to Ennis ISD for hosting the event in the High School. It is a pleasure watching the youth volunteers interacting with and helping the recipient families.
Attached are a few photos I thought you would like.
PS: Watch-Me-Run is now fully funded and we will distribute a new pair of shoes to the 100+ students enrolled in the Lion Cubs (Weekend Food Backpack Program)
